  • A Winter Wonderland in Fulham

Neverland in Fulham has been one of our favourite party destinations for years. In summer it is a beach club where you feel like you are transported to Ibiza but in winter it turns into a magical alpine forest. Dogs are welcome in all areas of Neverland all year round including in the lodges and igloos. We enjoyed cosying up on the snuggly blankets and watching the humans eat their fondue. If you are looking for an usual place to celebrate Christmas or even New Year's Eve with your dog then check out their website to see what's on over the festive period. They do have a DJ and it can get loud so with dogs we highly recommend you book a lodge or igloo, where you can choose to have no music or play your own. In this blog we are wearing collars and leads by Overglam and bow ties by Teddy Maximus.

  • Dogs Treated Like Royalty at The Artful Duke

If you're looking for a fabulous dining experience with your dog, then look no further than The Artful Duke in Bromley. This new South London pub takes dog friendly to a whole new level and is a must visit for all Four Legged Foodies. We love to try whatever the humans are having but they are just as greedy as us so there's often no leftovers. We were delighted to discover we had our own menu at The Artful Duke. The Doggo Menu has 2 delicious main courses, snacks by Miso and Me and a drink. We tried everything (obvs) and gave it a big paws up! While your humans enjoy their beers or cocktails, we can sip on our own beer from Woof and Brew or water is also available. Doggies will get their own bed to lie on in case the beer goes to their heads! This sort of behaviour from the humans however is very much frowned upon! The pub is very large and spacious so all size doggies can enjoy the experience without fear of being in the way or having your tail stepped on. If your humans like sport, they can also watch that here. Now that's what we call a sausage roll!! The humans suggested we didn't need any because we had our own meals - what a ridiculous suggestion! The humans can choose from the menus of small plates like these or larger dishes such as burgers or sausage and mash. There's a good selection of vegan dishes too. The pub is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. If you're looking for a great place to enjoy Christmas Dinner with your dog, then check out their festive menus here .. We visited The Artful Duke in November but if you visit in warmer weather, they have plenty of outdoor seating at the front of the pub. For walkies in the area, Bromley Park and Beckenham Place Park are nearby. Archie and Nacho x

  • Sunday Roasts at Mall Tavern

We heard good things about The Mall Tavern , particularly their Sunday Roasts so we thought we'd check them out for ourselves and we can confirm the rumours are true. Their Sunday Roasts are AMAZING! The humans are trying to do their bit for Veganuary so they went for the Nut Roast option (with a sneaky non-vegan Yorkshire Pudding). The meal must have been delicious because they stopped talking and devoured it almost as quickly as we eat our dinner. The Mall Tavern is a friendly, local pub with plenty of space and welcomes all Four Legged Foodies. We met 2 new friends while we were there. They also have an enclosed rear garden and some seats outside the front of the pub. We took our own Vegan food and treats from Hownd and W'Zis to enjoy while the humans stuffed their faces. Afterwards we went for a walk in Hyde Park which is just around the corner and then we tried to drag the humans back to the pub as we would happily stay there all day! We look forward to going back to The Mall Tavern and next time we hope the humans get the beef. In this blog Archie and Nacho are wearing Reg and Bob . #dogfriendlylondon #dogfriendlyvegan #dogfriendlypub #dogfriendlylondonpub #dogfriendlynottinghill #sundayroastslondon #veganfoodlondon

  • A Treat Beyond All Expectations

Dog Afternoon Tea at Jack & Beyond, Fulham Afternoon Tea is a special treat that our humans like to have when their yearning for sweet things needs to be satisfied. We have been along to a few with them but usually we have to take our own treats while they scoff down all the scones. But not so at Jack & Beyond in Fulham! Here, we get our very own selection of treats, all baked fresh on the premises. We started with a puppuccino then tucked into liver and lamb stew followed by peanut butter biscuit, carrot pupcake and banana and peanut butter wuffin. Obviously we couldn't let the humans starve so we let them have their own Afternoon Tea too. All the delicious cakes at Jack & Beyond are baked fresh on site every day. The humans went very quiet for a while so we assume they enjoyed it! The pretty café is quite small with only 4 or 5 tables but we pooches are welcome to sit on the seats to avoid being stepped on. You can also take home cakes for anyone who had to stay behind and work (sorry male human) and you can order special cakes for birthdays, anniversaries or just because you deserve it! We highly recommend our pals try out the Dog Afternoon Tea and if you do, please be sure to tag us @the4leggedfoodies so we can share your images. #dogfriendly #dogfriendlylondon #dogfriendlybakery #dogfriendlycafe #dogafternoontea #dogfriendlyfulham

  • Catalina's - Fiesta Time for Dogs

During lockdown the humans really got into Taco Tuesdays so they were delighted to discover this new Mexican restaurant in Fitzrovia and even more delighted to discover they are fanatical about dogs! Catalina's is inspired by and named after the chef's Mexican grandmother and the food would not disappoint her as it is packed full of flavour and beautifully presented. We dogs receive the warmest welcome from resident dog Talula and her friendly staff and we have our own extensive menu. Talula is the dog behind food brand Talula Eats which is made at the restaurant Monday to Thursday and then served to eager Four Legged Foodies on Fridays and Saturdays. Humans can also chat to resident dog nutritionist Rupal to find out more about Talula Eats food and get advice about your diet - apparently this word doesn't always mean you have to eat less!! Doggies can choose from a 3 course menu which includes treats, gourmet homemade food and a slice (or two) of cake! If you are very lucky, you will get to try this delicious doggie pizza! Their homemade dog cakes and treats are also available to be taken home and enjoyed later. I took some home for Nacho but might have nibbled on it on the train. What we love most about Catalina's is how friendly they are. The staff couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable. If you like cuddles, there are plenty on offer at Catalina's! I took my pal Cedric for lunch and we were greeted with a special welcome on the table. They even rearranged the furniture so we could get some good photos. So if you fancy a relaxing lunch or dinner with your humans then head down to Fitzrovia and tell them Archie sent you! And remember....Tacos are NOT just for Tuesdays!

  • Dog Friendly Greenwich

Exploring dog friendly Greenwich in South East London Greenwich is an area of London that really does have something for everyone. There is culture, history, shopping, plenty of green spaces and an abundance of fabulous eateries. Oh and its' a great place to visit with your dog! Start of the day the way every day should start - with a good breakfast! Enderby House is a Young's pub on the riverside and serves brunch Monday to Saturday. Dogs get free treats and can buy a Jude's doggy ice cream. Like much of the area, the pub is steeped in history and is located in a converted 1830's house which belonged to the firm of Samuel Enderby, the largest whalers and sealers in Britain, and pioneers of Antarctic exploration. Hermann Melville describes their flagship and crew in “Moby Dick”. The pub is spacious and airy inside and has a river facing terrace outside. From the pub you can take a lovely riverside stroll for 1 mile into Greenwich centre or in the other direction you will reach the O2 in just 8 minutes. Devon crab and crayfish Royale at Enderby House Another great riverside eatery close by is Riverside Café where you can get breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and great coffee. Dogs can get treats and ice cream here too while you watch the boats go by on the Thames. Walk off your brekkie with a stroll in Greenwich Park. The park has something for everyone. There is plenty of space for picnics, lots of trees providing shade and some fantastic views! From the top, you can see all across London. Obviously great views come at a price and there is a steep walk to the top of the park but at least there is a step free route. Second stop on our Greenwich pub crawl is The Cutty Sark pub which has been serving drinks to people for over 200 hundred years! Inside the pub you will be transported back to that time with the original features, including creaky wooden stairs reminding us of the boat the pub is named after. Treats and ice cream are available for pooches and the human food is not your average pub grub but more like a menu and quality you'll find in a good restaurant. There is a terrace opposite the pub for river views. Catch of the Day at The Cutty Sark pub The pub's namesake is a short stroll away. Dogs aren't allowed on board unfortunately but you can still get some great photos (preferably without a human ruining it). From here, head into Greenwich centre and immerse yourself in the glory of Greenwich Market. Here you will find a plethora of independent traders selling everything from street food to gifts, clothes, art....you name it. Pooches are welcome to stroll around on foot or in their wheels! At one end of the market, you will discover another great Young's pub - The Coach and Horses. More history for you - this pub had been around since the 1800's and used to be a tea salon! Nowadays it is a fabulous pub where pooches are most welcome by some of the friendliest staff we ever met. Every single one of them wanted to come and say hello to us and give us treats. No complaints here! For the humans, their homemade sausage rolls are a must try. The pub is quite small inside but has plenty of space within the market. Sausage roll and baked camembert at Coach and Horses Back to the park for a rest, being a tour guide is tiring you know! As you can see, the park is well used, especially on warm days. It is also home to The Old Royal Naval College, National Maritime Museum and Royal Observatory. Attached to the Old Royal Naval College is Young's pub The Old Brewery. As the name suggests, this used to be the Greenwich Meantime brewery and you will still find the original brewing tanks in the dining room. This is a large pub with dining room, bar area and a HUGE garden! Humans can enjoy decent pub classics and they also have a burger shack. Stroll back through the park and soak up a bit more history, before we stop in at pub number 5! Opposite the park gates you will find The Greenwich Tavern . As soon as you walk in, you will see a dog bar with bottomless treats and water - always a good start! The pub is spacious inside and has a secluded courtyard garden where humans can enjoy their grub and some fantastic cocktails. No self-respecting dog can visit Greenwich without visiting Heaps Sausages which is just around the corner from Greenwich Tavern. The shop is small but they now have a great courtyard at the rear with its own bar and seating. All visiting dogs get their own bag of sausage slices and staff will take a Polaroid of you to add to their pooch wall of fame. Look out for Nacho if you go! If you fancy trying something different, take the IFS Cloud cable car from the peninsula in North Greenwich and soar over the river to The Royal Dock. Archie wasn't sure about its wobbliness but the rest of us enjoyed it. One last Young's pub to visit before we head home for the day and start a diet!! The Richard 1st is a short stroll from the park and welcomes dogs inside and in their rear garden. Pub classics are served for humans and they are part of the City to Sea Refill scheme which means humans and dogs can refill their bottles and bowls for free. Nacho standing on the Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory Time for us to go home. The Meridian Line runs through Greenwich Park and for those who don't know, this is the reference point for Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). We took the Uber Thames Clipper home from Greenwich to Battersea which is a great way to travel if you're not a fan of the tube. #dogfriendlygreenwich #dogfriendlygreenwichlondon #dogfriendlylondon #londonparks #greenwichlondon #dogfriendlylondonpubs #dogfriendlylondoncafes

  • Have a Ball in Balham

6 places to take your pooch in this South London District. Cocktails, brunch and much more at Exhibit Bar This vibrant bar over two floors is light and spacious with plenty of covered outdoor space too! Four Legged Foodies are welcome everywhere and will be greeted with fresh water and treats. The humans were also offered extra bacon so they could share with us, just make sure you get it as we know what these greedy humans are like. Speaking of the humans, they enjoyed a most delicious brunch, washed down with cocktails. The Exhibit has a great private hire space which is perfect for doggie parties and they even have a dog friendly cinema! It is also handy if you have a chauffeur as it is next to Sainsbury's car park where you can park free for 2 hours. Where: 12 Balham Station Rd, London SW12 9SG Website: theexhibit.co.uk Doggie Sunday Roast at The Devonshire If you can think of a better way to spend a Sunday than having a roast dinner at the pub then let us know because we can't! Especially when it's The Devonshire where Four Legged Foodies get their very own roast. There is also a table where we can help ourselves to treats and water. The pub is very large with areas either side of an impressive bar, some tables outside the front and a large rear garden with some covered booths. The humans may be greedy but they do have high standards and they said the Sunday Roast was one of the best ones they had. We are not so fussy but definitely recommend the chicken doggie roast! Where: 39 Balham High Rd, London SW12 9AN Website: devonshirebalham.co.uk Spot some famous faces at The Bedford This iconic pub has been around since the 19th century! It is famous for hosting cabaret and live music but is also very welcoming to Four Legged Foodies. We are requested to leave the dining room to humans without pooches (who are these people??) but we can sit wherever we want in the large bar area. The human food has a Mediterranean vibe with some British classics thrown in and fresh handmade pizza. Just beware that it can get very busy and noisy on cabaret nights but you might get lucky and bump into Ed Sheeran! Where: 77 Bedford Hill, London SW12 9HD Website: thebedford.com Get your ice cream fix at Jefferson's I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!! Well it's more of a bark with us but we love it as much as the humans do. This gorgeous place not only serves up the best ice cream but also great coffee and desserts. The humans say everyone with a sweet tooth just has to try the waffles! Now we just have to persuade them to make a doggie ice cream and life will be complete.
