Where to do Veganuary with your pooch. 8 dog friendly vegan restaurants in London.

Our humans are flexitarians which, less face it, means they will eat absolutely anything. Just like us!!
They tell us it actually means that they are trying to eat less meat but they just don't quite have the willpower to give it up completely. But hey, who are we to judge 🤣
As this month is Veganuary, they are putting in extra effort to make more of their meals plant based and we have decided to join them.
Here are some great dog friendly places where you can get your plant fix this Veganuary.

The humans are always looking for restaurants that push the boundaries with vegan food and Tofu Vegan is just one of those places and they also love dogs! Win, win!
Their 3 locations serve up delicious Chinese food from a 100% plant-based menu. Now our human has never been a fan of tofu but this place changed her mind forever. (Don't worry if you're not a fan, there are many dishes without tofu).
The NOT fish burger is a must try for everyone (even we couldn’t tell it wasn’t real fish) and the dim sum are little parcels of scrumptiousness.
Weekend lunchtimes are super busy so maybe try quieter times with your dog. We visited Golders Green but all 3 locations welcome dogs.

If you lived on planet vegan would you worship seitan?
Luckily we didn't need a spaceship, just had to get the tube to Camden to enjoy this amazing Chinese vegan restaurant.
The restaurant is right by Camden station or a short walk from Regent's Park. Which is a good option as you will need to work up an appetite to get through their extensive menu.
All well-behaved doggies are welcome in the spacious restaurant and will get water and treats from the staff.
The restaurant is 100% vegan and our humans recommend the dim sum platter, wontons in spicy sauce and salt and pepper oyster mushrooms.

Fancy some California Dreaming on a Winter's day?
January in London can be bleak but once you're inside this restaurant your winter blues will disappear. Yeotown is a California inspired restaurant in the Inhabit Hotels Queens Gardens and Sussex Gardens, Bayswater.
The mood is chill and the food is a work of art. The restaurant isn't 100% vegan but has a great selection of small plates that are. Our humans recommend the rice paper wraps which are filled with fruit but it works and the beautiful potato pave with edible nasturtium.
And if the weather isn't too bad it's just a short hop over the road to Hyde Park for walkies.

Our friends at Shake Shack never let us down with quality food and a warm welcome for pooches.
In January they have a limited edition Crispy Shallot burger to celebrate Veganuary with crispy shallot fries too!
All Shake Shack locations in London are dog friendly and they have red velvet bone biscuits and poochini permanently on the menu.

If you have a sweet tooth Veganuary can be difficult as most baked goods have butter or milk but we have some great news for cookie monsters...Floozie cookies are 100% vegan.
Their cookies are stuffed with such deliciousness as peanut butter and jelly and pecan pie. They also have a selection of vegan drinks and ice cream.
The shop is downstairs at Covent Garden Market and has a few tables inside and out where pooches are welcome. We had our own vegan puppacino while the humans stuffed their faces.

Having a plant based diet does not mean you have to miss out on a Sunday Roast. which is lucky because a roast at the pub is one of our favourite ways to spend a Sunday.
At the Mall Tavern in Notting Hill you can get this nut roast with all the trimmings and you won't even miss the beef!
Our human is obsessed with gravy so she was worried about how it might taste but she said it was one of the tastiest ones she ever had (apart from grandpaw's). She did cheat a little though and had the Yorkshire Pudding which you have to leave out for a full vegan dish. That's because she is a Yorkshire Pudding herself!

We are not huge fans of vegetables (unless they are covered in gravy) but we do love pizza and when we heard Purezza offer a doggie pizza we decided to give the green stuff a try!
The dog menu has 2 pizza flavours and also dog beer and wine. We prefer water but the pizza slices went down a treat.
Our Two Legged Foodies are always looking for great vegan food to try so gorged down a couple pizzas. There are also vegan pasta dishes on the menu.

Pasta is a difficult one for vegans and our humans couldn't live without pasta!
Pastaio have a great vegan menu which proves you don't need eggs and cheese to make a fabulous bowl of pasta. The menu also has anti pasta and desserts.
Pooches are very welcome and can have a go at the Lady and The Tramp moment!
