  • The Paws Lab - Code WOOFABOUT30 for 30% off

Premium Pet Care for your dog We recently tried a trio of products from The Paws Lab and here's what we thought. Smile! Let's start with dental care. Nacho is a greedy dog which means he doesn't chew much and this allows plaque to build up easily on his teeth. He's ok at having his teeth brushed but the N'10 Pet Dental Care is so much easier and a whole lot more effective than standard dog toothpaste. The tub contains 50 finger sleeves infused with advanced antimicrobial ingredient, making it so much easier to reach the back teeth and you can see the plaque coming off onto the sleeves. We now use this daily and Nacho's breath is much improved! And it's only £10.95 for 50 days of cleaning. Listen up, this one is for your ears! Nacho has always had trouble with dirt build up in his right ear and we have had several (costly) products from the vet over the years. The N'1 Ear Cleanser by The Paws Lab is just £17.95 and is an alcohol-free, gentle ear cleaner. We love that it is suitable for daily use and is really easy to apply. Don't cry, they also have a solution for tear stains! Tear Stains are not so noticeable on a ginger dog as they are on white dogs but Nacho still has them and we like to clean them daily. The N'8 Pet Tear Stain Wipes by The Paws Lab helps keep his peepers looking great without causing any irritation. Similar to the dental wipes, the pack contains 50 finger sleeves infused with Deionized Water, Aloe Extract and Vitamin E. A quick wipe each morning helps to prevent staining and any eye bogey build ups. The magic ingredient in all Paws Lab products is their Silver Ti+ Specialised Patented Technology. This advanced formula of nano silver and titanium dioxide protects your pooch against bacteria, fungi and viruses. The Paws Lab products are now part of Nacho's daily care routine and if you'd like to join him, visit their website and use code WOOFABOUT30 for 30% off your first order.

  • Brian Recommends - Code WOOFABOUT15 for 15% off

We all recommend Brian Recommends dog treats Here at Woof About we have been fans of Brian Recommends treats for years and highly recommend them to all our pals. We asked 5 of our Woofers to taste test Brian Recommends and give us their feedback . And here it is...... Benny Myself and Benny I'm happy for Benny to have these training treats because they are high in protein and/or all protein like the beef liver crisps, which is something I always look for with his treats. Benny was eager to get into the packages and even ripped one of them open, which I think was his plan as he had to have a couple of them once opened! Skye We are really picky on what we feed to Skye, with her breed being prone to hip issues we monitor her weight along with keeping her active. To help with this, we are always on the look out for good and healthy training treats for her.  We were sent three packs from Brian Recommends; Venison Sausage Nibbles, Beef Liver Chips and Lamb Liver Cubes.   Skye loved each of these flavours, and them being a healthy but tasty option for her we were very pleased to try them out.   I think her favourite of the three was a beef liver crisps, she loved how crunchy they were and they kept her fully engaged with us on a walk when we had these too!  Highly recommended, we will be getting more for sure! Cleo Cleo absolutely loved these treats and being a poodle she can be quite fussy. I really liked they were dehydrated so had a perfect crunchy texture which will help clean her teeth at the same time as being delicious. The beef liver slices were perfect thickness too as some liver treats we have had before have been too thin and flaky. Perfect sized high reward treats for walks and grooming. We will absolutely be trying some more treats from Brian recommends’ Rambo Rambo couldn't have been more eager to get into this delivery and try the treats.  I liked the size of the sausage nibbles as they are quite thin and also easy to break into smaller pieces (which I often do, don't tell Rambo!)  Lamb liver nibbles, I liked the size of these treats perfect for training or when out in a cafe. Beef liver crisps were new to Rambo and he really enjoyed it, this is in bigger pieces but easily breaks into smaller pieces where needed The personalised tin is pawfect for popping the treats into, much better than taking a bag as it allows for a mix of treats and it can fit in my pocket  Packaging -  the detail on the packaging really stood out for me with a detailed description of the product, benefits of the treat and nutritional information. Will definitely order again in the future and 100% recommend. Marley I like to know what I am feeding my dog and natural dog treats are the best way to go. I use training treats pretty much every day. Weather it’s for enrichment toys or learning new tricks. The training treats from ‘Brian Recommends' are the perfect size for these activities. Marley tried the Venison nibbles, lamb liver nibbles and the beef liver crisps. She particularly liked the beef liver crisps and they definitely crunched when she bit into them. In regards to the crisps they are extremely easy to break into smaller pieces if you need to. They have a wide variety of treats to choose from depending on your dog’s preference. This includes small training treats, chews and sausages. DOG TREATS NATURAL DOG TREATS HEALTHY DOG TREATS

  • Wilson's Dog Food

Benny reviews this fresh dog food brand When I say Benny is food obsessed, I mean his life literally revolves around food. I joke that if he's not sleeping, he's eating, but it's actually true. He's rarely interested in toys unless he can chew them or potentially eat them. Same with sticks and balls.  When we moved back home, over a year and a half ago, Benny quickly trained me into giving him lunches because I couldn't eat my lunch without giving him something to eat. The forever puppy dog face will do that to you. What started out as a bigger treat option became full on meals from kibble to trying out different fresh food brands when we could. Now, this has literally become the norm. He has kibble three days a week so we can practice tricks and cues and do treat hunts then he has Wilson's pet food the other four days. Which he loves.  We spend a lot of time outside and do a lot of walking, so it suits Benny's lifestyle well. I try to give him Wilson's on the days where we've done a lot of exercise as I know he'll need it more. It's steam locked fresh food that's easy to store in the cupboard then I refrigerate it for the four days. They have a variety of flavours and I'd tell you a favourite but Benny literally devours all of them. He gets so excited for Turkey, or Beef or Fish. You name it he loves it. The fresh veg and prime meat cuts are a winner for him and Me because I love knowing I'm feeding him well.  Wilson's also do a variety of treats as well as supplements and cold pressed food.  If you'd be interested in trying it, you can use this link or use the code BENNY20 for 20% off.

  • Dog Friendly Bath

A Guide to Spending a Weekend in Bath with Your Dog The historic city of Bath is one of the most charming destinations in the UK, and it’s also a surprisingly dog-friendly place for a weekend getaway. With beautiful parks, scenic riverside walks, and many welcoming cafés and pubs, Bath offers plenty of opportunities for both you and your dog to relax and explore together. Here’s a simple guide to help you plan the perfect dog-friendly weekend in this elegant city. Bath Abbey Saturday Morning: Explore Bath’s Historic Streets Start your weekend by arriving early and taking a gentle walk through Bath’s historic centre. The city is compact and easy to explore on foot, making it ideal when travelling with a dog. Wander through the picturesque streets lined with honey-coloured Georgian buildings and make your way towards Bath Abbey. While dogs are not allowed inside the nearby Roman Baths attraction, the surrounding area is beautiful to explore and offers plenty of great photo opportunities. From there, head towards Pulteney Bridge, one of the city’s most famous landmarks. The bridge overlooks the River Avon and the dramatic Pulteney Weir, creating one of Bath’s most iconic views. The riverside paths nearby are perfect for a relaxed stroll with your dog while enjoying the scenery. Knoops Stop off for a hot chocolate at dog friendly Knoops or one of the many dog friendly coffee shops in Bath. Royal Victoria Park Saturday Afternoon: Parks and Open Space After exploring the city centre, take your dog to Royal Victoria Park. This large park is just a short walk from the centre and offers wide green spaces where dogs can enjoy some freedom after walking on the city streets. The park also provides excellent views of the famous Royal Crescent, one of Bath’s most recognisable architectural landmarks. Spend some time walking through the park’s tree-lined paths or relaxing on the grass. It’s a great spot for a picnic or simply letting your dog unwind. The Bird Bath Saturday Evening: Dog-Friendly Dining Bath has a growing number of dog-friendly restaurants, pubs and cafés, so you won’t need to leave your dog behind at dinner time. The Bird Bath is tried and tested by us and you can read our review here. Sunday Morning: Canal Walks Begin Sunday with a longer walk along the Kennet and Avon Canal. The canal towpath offers a peaceful escape from the busy city centre and stretches for miles in both directions. It’s a perfect environment for dogs, with plenty of interesting scents, open space, and scenic views of narrowboats gliding along the water. The route is mostly flat and easy to walk, making it suitable for a relaxed morning stroll. Sunday Afternoon: Coffee and a Final Wander Before leaving Bath, spend some time visiting one of the city’s dog-friendly cafés. Many independent coffee shops welcome dogs and provide outdoor seating where you can enjoy a relaxed brunch or coffee. Afterward, take one final wander through the city’s charming streets or revisit your favourite riverside spots. Final Tips Bring water for your dog when walking around the city, especially during warmer months. Keep your dog on a lead in busy areas, and check local signage in parks for off-lead zones. Booking dog-friendly accommodation in advance is also recommended, as Bath is a popular weekend destination. With its mix of history, green spaces, and welcoming atmosphere, Bath is an excellent city for a relaxing weekend trip with your dog. • The Jack Russell

Hektor's stay at this Hampshire countryside inn @hekkigram The Jack Russell is a beautiful and super dog friendly hotel nestled in the Hampshire countryside.  @hekkigram We stayed in the Bulldog Room - a large double room with ensuite, which has double doors opening onto airs own patio with its own enclosed garden. @hekkigram It has views of the countryside around you and it’s so quiet you can enjoy the birds singing! You’ll find a dog bowl, blanket, treat and map of suggested walking routes in the room too. @hekkigram The courtyard to access the rooms is called ‘The Dog House’ and is a large, pretty space which has a fire pit and seating for cosy summer evenings.  @hekkigram The inn itself is super dog friendly too. As soon as you walk in you’ll find the many Doggy Guestbook to sign, alongside a Polaroid camera for you to snap a pic of your pup alongside a message. @hekkigram There are plenty of treats available too.  The food and drink were absolutely exquisite and the friendly staff went above and beyond to make recommendations and make sure both Hektor and I were comfortable. I particularly loved the paw print on my cappuccino! We loved that at meal times, everyone was spaced out well so that the dogs get their own space too.  I couldn’t recommend The Jack Russell more, it was the perfect dog friendly countryside stay!  The Jack Russell Netherton Hill, Andover SP11 0DS DOG FRIENDLY HOTEL DOG FRIENDLY INN DOG FRIENDLY HAMPSHIRE DOG FRIENDLY ANDOVER
