- Give us a Pizza That!
If delicious wood-fired pizza, cocktails and a 360 view of London with your dogs is your idea of a perfect day then Bussey Rooftop Bar is the place for you! You can definitely count us in too! Take the Overground to Peckham Rye and within a 5 minute walk from the station you will find Bussey Alley, slotted between the local shops and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Rye Lane. Copeland Park is an old industrial estate in Peckham which has been turned over to a number of small, independent businesses, artists and restaurants, creating a really great spot to explore with your dogs. Sitting atop the Bussey Building (which was once a cricket bat factory) you will find the Bussey Rooftop Bar. The space is completely covered which was very much appreciated as we went on a particularly rainy July day! It is decked out in a style that fits the building, with an open kitchen, bar and high tables with stools to allow you to enjoy the view. And what a view it is! The position of the building means you get a 360-degree view of London! We spent much of our visit pointing out all the top landmarks (a great way to entertain your non London friends when they visit). Unfortunately, the rain made it misty so we couldn't get great photos of the view. You will just have to go and see for yourself! When we weren't behaving like tourists, we spent the rest of our visit enjoying fabulous cocktails (other beverages are available) and some of the best pizza we ever had! The pizzas by Share a Slice are all made fresh to order and cooked in the wood fired oven to give that authentic taste. The menu includes a vegan option. When it comes to our Four Legged friends, they are very welcome at Bussey Rooftop Bar. Archie and Nacho received a lot of attention from the staff and they were brought water and a blanket to sit on. To get that view you need to be high up so there are a lot of stairs to climb but as long as your dog (and you) are up for the challenge, you will have a great time once you reach the top. They have regular comedy nights which doggies can come along to - Archie was hoping for an open mic night to practice some of his routines! And on the other half of the rooftop you will find the Rooftop Film Club * where pooch can join you to watch a movie! Keep an eye out for our upcoming blog on what to expect when taking your dog to an open air cinema! *this part of the roof is not covered. We highly recommend a visit to Copeland Park and Bussey Rooftop Bar and we would love to see your photos if you go so please tag us on Instagram @the4leggedfoodies Hopefully you will get some better shots of that view! Follow @busseyrooftopbar for more images.
- Brewbix - Making it Easy to be Good
If you are a believer in waste not, want not then you will love the concept behind Brewbix as they make treats from craft brewery leftovers! During the brewing process grain and yeast is spent and this would usually be discarded but Brewbix use it to hand bake tasty, healthy treats for good doggies. (That's all of us by the way). The biscuits also contain leftover brewers yeast which is great for a healthy skin and coat. Brewbix biscuits are made from the grain used by South East London craft brewery Villages and each pack states which beer was used so you can match the beer to the biscuits and anjoy along woth your dog! If you are looking for a tasty treat whilst also doing your bit for the planet, visit them on Treat Street at the Four Legged Foodie Fest. They will also be bringing Villages beer for the humans to take home. Brewbix side-kick Broo will be making a guest appearance too. We want to see your dogs in a photo with him.

- Hiro + Wolf - Stylish Accessories for Four Legged Foodies
We have been huge fans of Hiro + Wolf since they came along to first ever Doggie Market in 2019. They kindly lent us a harness on the day because Archie was pulling to get to every food stall and now that harness is one of his favourite dining out accessories! Hiro (Shiba Inu) and Wolf (Terrier Cross) have been friends for over 10 years and along with their humans Amy and Bee, they create stylish, practical and fun accessories for dogs and cats. The collections are inspired heavily by African patterns from a trip to Kenya in 2012 and they are constantly coming up with fun collections such as their Wizard of Dog toys and accessories. How many times have you found yourself in a cafe or restaurant and had to fumble around, unclipping your dog's lead, threading through the handle and a chair leg, then reattaching to the collar? All while trying to hang on to pooch so he doesn't leg it into the kitchen! The Hiro + Wolf cafe lead is all our time favourite purchase and a must have for all Four Legged Foodies who love to dine out. You can pick up your own cafe lead and much more at Four Legged Foodie Fest! All Hiro + Wolf products are designed and made in the UK.
- Game, Set and Match for Dog Friendly Wimbledon
If you are fans of tennis, then you will definitely be aware of this part of south west London. But there is more to Wimbledon than just a bunch of humans knocking a tennis ball back and forth - they don't even chew it! Wimbledon is also famous for its Common and the mythical Wombles who keep it litter free. Wimbledon Common is a great place for a walk with a good mixture of open areas, wooded areas and water for dipping our tails in. We do have to share the space with golfers though so watch out for more balls and these ones hurt if they land on your head! Wimbledon itself is split into the village with a mix of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, most of which are dog friendly. Then there is the town itself, where the station is and some dog friendly pubs. The Costa Coffee by the station also welcomes us pooches. Here are our recommendations for places to visit when you go to Wimbledon. Before any adventures begin, make sure the humans are well stocked with treats by popping in to see our friends at Pet Pavilion. This upmarket Pet Store in Wimbledon Village has everything a doggie needs including their own range of delicious treats and plenty of toys. Be careful not to get too muddy on your walk though as you may be dragged back here for a wash! Pet Pavilion 47 High Street, Wimbledon, SW19 5AX. If you want to be treated like doggie royalty, then bag yourself a bed at Megan's in the Village. Like all their restaurants, the décor is super pretty with plenty of flowers and even a tree inside (cocking your leg on this one is frowned upon). The humans love the abundance of fairy lights and they love the food even more. We doggies are always spoilt with plenty of water and treats and even more adoring attention from the staff. Megan's 86 High Street, Wimbledon, SW19 5EG The Fox and Grapes is a posh, independent gastropub right by Wimbledon Common so is the perfect place to visit after your walkies. Take your humans along to sample their legendary Sunday Lunch and they also have a large wine selection which usually keeps the humans happy! We doggies are well catered for with water and biscuits to munch on while your humans watch the tennis. And if your humans have too much of that wine you can even stay the night because they also rooms upstairs. The Fox and Grapes, 9 Camp Road, Wimbledon, SW19 4UN If you like a great pub garden, then you will love The Garden Shed which is just on the outskirts of the town but well worth a visit. The garden is large and mostly covered, with more of those fairy lights that she loves and plenty of seating from bar stools to comfy chairs and sofas. Inside the pub, the humans can watch sport and enjoy burgers or pizza. The Garden Shed, 145 Haydons Road, Wimbledon, SW19 1AN If you're looking for somewhere to watch the Tennis with your pooch by your side and a pint in your hand then we highly recommend The Canbury Arms in Kingston and The Hawk's Nest in Shepherd's Bush. The Canbury Arms is a wonderful neighbourhood pub in Kingston which has a beautiful garden and serves top notch food for the humans. We doggies are so welcome here, we don't really know why the humans bother coming too (apart from to pay the bill). You can watch the Tennis with a glass of their special Sipsmith Strawberry Smash Gin and you'll feel like you're there. The Canbury Arms, 49 Canbury Park Road, Kingston, KT2 6LQ

- Where to Celebrate National Vegetarian Week
From 10th to 16th May we are focusing on all things veggie for National Vegetarian Week. My humans are what's known as flexitarians, often opting for veggie and vegan food when they eat out and they assure me it is super tasty, though personally I've never been a fan of anything green! The vegetarian and plant-based restaurant scene in London is growing with a whole host of places devoted solely to the cuisine as well as many other places increasing the amount of veggie dishes on their menus. No longer do you only have the option of a veggie burger or vegetarian lasagne! Firm meat free favourites include Farmacy, Wags n Tales, Redemption and Wulf and Lamb and here are 5 more dog friendly places where you can get some fabulous veggie dishes. Sorry my veggie friends but I could never give up sausages!! Wild By Tart in Belgravia offers a small plates, sharing menu where over 50% of the dishes are vegetarian. Sit back on their cool outdoor terrace in Eccleston Yards and enjoy such delights as Asparagus, tarragon tomatoes, hazelnut & roast garlic and Nettle, confit garlic mascarpone, parmesan & lemon flatbread. Their full menu will be available from May 17th. Follow them at @wildbytart for updates. Read Archie's full review here. Abuelo is a wonderful little restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden and is a great place to get a veggie brunch. Their current menu is almost all veggie, with only 2 meat dishes. We had the Huevos Divorciados de Turco (above) and the Truffle Mushie Toastie. We can't wait to go back and try more soon. They have an enclosed and heated terrace on Southampton Street and will re-open indoors on May 17th. Follow them @abuelocoffeelondon to see more of their delicious food and coffee. Soanes Kitchen in Ealing's Walpole Park is the best park restaurant in London. They have an outdoor area in their pretty walled garden where you can get pizza and pastries but when they re-open indoors you will be able to order a full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vegetarian dishes include shakshuka, mushroom arancini and pumpkin ravioli to name but a few. Read Archie's full review here and follow @soanes_kitchen. Like me, The Retreat Kitchen in Richmond is proof that good things come in small packages! At this vegan café on Richmond Hill Rise you will find Maggie and Claire serving up plant-based delights such as chickpea omelette (above), loaded sweet potato and jackfruit hot dog. The café has a few tables outside the front and you can also get takeaway and delivery through hoptapp. Read Archie's full review here and follow @theretreatkitchen for more vegan inspiration. The Pottery Bar is one of my favourite local restaurants in Kingston. The restaurant serves Spanish tapas, a large selection of which are vegetarian such as tortilla and manchego cheese and they also have a vegan paella. They have a large enclosed rear garden where you can relax with a jug of sangria and pretend you're on holiday on the Costa del Sol! Follow them @potterytapasbar and read my full review here. We hope you enjoy some delicious vegetarian food this May and please let us know if you know any great places you think we should try. Archie and Nacho
