- You Self-Portrait Studio
Dog friendly photo studio https://www.instagram.com/cocodeardiary/ I HAVE to tell you about this super fun thing we did over the weekend. We took family photos at YOU self-portrait studio and yes, Coco came too! https://www.instagram.com/cocodeardiary/ It’s such a cool experience. There’s no photographer, just you, a big mirror, and a little clicker in your hand to take the photos whenever you want. It’s like having your own mini photo studio, but way less awkward and way more fun! https://www.instagram.com/cocodeardiary/ So How Does It Work? Basically, you pick either a black or white background (we chose white for a clean look), and all the photos are taken in black and white . If you want coloured ones, you can add that to your package. But even just the B&W ones looked so artsy and professional! And guess how many photos we took… over 1,000! 😱 No joke, we were clicking away the entire session and just having so much fun! I honestly didn’t want it to end. https://www.instagram.com/cocodeardiary/ Coco Was a Star (Of Course) Coco was SO good! She posed like a little model. Some of the photos came out so cute I almost cried. This is definitely something we’ll treasure forever . My Tips If You’re Planning to Go Alright, if you’re thinking of booking this with your family or pup, here’s what I’d recommend: 🧥 Plan your outfits — Matching outfits make everything look extra cute. I went a bit overboard and loved it! 🎀 Bring accessories/props — They have some at the studio (chairs, stools, etc), but I brought my own too because I had a Hello Kitty theme in mind… yes, I packed a whole luggage. No shame 😂 📸 Think of poses — It helps to have a few pose ideas ready so you can just jump in and start snapping. Will I Go Again? YES, 100%. It was such a fun family activity, and now we’ve got beautiful memories with Coco. I’m already thinking about going back for Coco’s birthday or maybe a themed shoot next time (Christmas, anyone?). Anyway, just wanted to share this with you all... highly recommend if you want a chill, fun photoshoot with your pup (and you don’t have to be camera shy because YOU control the shots). https://www.instagram.com/cocodeardiary/ Need to know: You Self-portrait studio Second floor, 28a Lower Marsh, London SE1 7RG 15 minute sessions £35 40 minute sessions £75 Extra time £30 per 20 minutes Colour shots £15 Pets £10 DOG PHOTOGRAPHY LONDON SELF-PORTRAIT STUDIO LONDON

- Franco Manca - Dog Friendly Pizza
Pizza and Paws at Franco Manca – Dog-Friendly Visit https://www.instagram.com/rambo_french_bulldog_/ I first visited Franco Manca years ago in London, long before I became a dog mum and started choosing places based on whether Rambo could come too. So, I was delighted to discover a few months ago that they’ve now become dog friendly! https://www.instagram.com/rambo_french_bulldog_/ Now living in Manchester, I decided it was time to see if the pizza was still as good as I remembered. We headed to their King Street location with Rambo in tow. They have a designated area if you have a dog, located towards the back of the restaurant, which worked perfectly for us. The staff were absolutely lovely and so welcoming to Rambo, offering him a bowl of water right away and giving him plenty of attention. https://www.instagram.com/rambo_french_bulldog_/ I ordered my usual go-to: the classic margherita pizza. I'm such a dips girl, and their garlic dip and chilli oil made the perfect additions. I’m happy to report that the pizza was just as delicious as I remembered. Rambo was on his best behaviour, had lots of space to stretch out, and (he says importantly) can confirm that the cheese passed his taste test with flying colours! - Pawd Drinks
Review of healthy drink for dogs Long-time friends, Rory and Archie, founded PAWD DRINKS out of a shared experience; their much-loved family dogs, Scrumpy and Pickle. Unwilling to rely on costly and extensive pill plans, they created an easy-to-use health supplement to improve the health of dogs. PAWD DRINKS embodies their commitment to ensuring more healthy, happy years for dogs and their owners. Nacho's mission for 2025 is to sniff out the best products to help him stay fit and healthy. Nacho tried all 3 Pawd Drinks; Joints because he needs to keep those little legs in prime squirrel chasing condition, Calming because being an influencer can be stressful and Wellness because he doesn't get any sick pay from his employer! All the drinks are simply purified water with the added minerals and vitamins needed to support their cause so no tastes that dogs won't like - just really healthy water. I love the goodness that are included in these pawd drinks shots. As Breeze is typically a very bouncy breed, we were on the lookout for something that can help her joints as she gets older. It's fantastic! And it takes the worries away from us as owners too! Breeze & Elli Pawd's commitment to well-being extends to every ingredient choice and the drinks are the first pH-neutral products on the market. This formulation promotes digestive health, kidney function and a robust immune system. Find out more on their website where you can receive 25% off your first trial box. Join them in making a difference in the lives of our furry friends. Their mission is to ensure owners can enjoy many more healthy and happy years with their best friend.
- Coat and Bear Newbury
Baxter's cosy dog-friendly stay at The Coat & Bear in Newbury @baxter.beagle.2021 Baxter and I recently stayed at The Coat & Bear in Newbury — a warm and welcoming dog-friendly inn that’s part of the lovely Heartwood Inns collection. This charming spot is right in the centre of town, with everything just a short walk away — from the canal to the local shops, it’s the perfect base for a relaxed and dog-friendly escape. @baxter.beagle.2021 From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Our room was tucked just off the courtyard, making it easy for quick pop-outs with Baxter, and had a lovely balance of stylish and cosy. Waiting for us in our room were some thoughtful surprises. @baxter.beagle.2021 Baxter had his very own dog bed, plus a gift from Digby Dogs which included some tasty biscuits and a bottle of posh-smelling shampoo. He made it very clear that the shampoo was for muddy emergencies only – we were on holiday, not heading to the spa! @baxter.beagle.2021 I was treated to some sweet treats too – the perfect welcome after the drive and just the thing to enjoy with a cuppa while Baxter explored every inch of the room. @baxter.beagle.2021 After a bit of a rest, we headed into the pub for dinner. There are several dog-friendly spots to sit, and the team made us feel really welcome as soon as we arrived. The pub even has a proper dog menu from Sir Woofchesters, so of course Baxter got treated to the fish and chips bowl and a bark brew beer to wash it all down. He took it very seriously and left not a single crumb behind. @baxter.beagle.2021 The human menu was just as tempting – so many delicious options that I asked the team for their recommendations, and oh my… I was not disappointed! Every bite was full of flavour, and it was the perfect way to round off a relaxed and cosy evening. @baxter.beagle.2021 The next morning we explored Newbury, taking a gentle stroll along the canal and through the town. @baxter.beagle.2021 Along the way, we even spotted a statue of Paddington Bear! Baxter tried to sneak a bite of his marmalade sandwich, but I caught him just in time! It was the perfect way to start the day — relaxed, scenic, and full of sniffs for Baxter. @baxter.beagle.2021 The Coat & Bear felt like a real home away from home — thoughtful, dog-friendly, and full of small touches that made our one-night stay feel extra special. The Coat & Bear 28 Bartholomew Street Newbury Berks RG14 5EU Need to know There is a strict ‘paws on floors’ policy across the property. 2 dogs maximum per room, with an additional charge of £20 per stay (not per night or per dog). - One Rice London
Coco reviews this Chaozhou restaurant in the Heart of London Tucked away on Brick Lane, One Rice is more than just a cosy Chinese restaurant, it's a place where flavours bring you back to the warmth of home. For me, it was like stepping into a memory. You see, Chaozhou is where my parents are originally from. The first bite of the Dongpo Pork with Osmanthus Flower has brought tears to my eyes from the nostalgia. It is the taste of home! The dishes here taste just like how my grandparents used to cook for us when I was little. There’s a certain soul in the cooking, a kind of authenticity you can’t fake, food that hugs you from the inside. If you’re ever craving something truly authentic, you don’t want to miss this hidden gem. I had the pleasure of speaking with Eleven, the store manager, who told me the story behind the restaurant. It all started at the Up market in Brick Lane, where the team originally was one of the food stalls there. After receiving so much love and feedback from their loyal foodies, they opened their first sit-down restaurant in September 2024. The heart behind this place is even more touching. The founder is a young woman who came to the UK for her studies and deeply missed the taste of home. She started cooking, testing and designing every single dish on the menu, determined to bring the comforting flavours of her hometown to people in London. Her passion and dedication shine through in every bite. Dog-Friendly Spot! Yes — Coco was very warmly welcomed by the friendly staff! This cosy little space is perfect for dog parents looking for a bite of something special. 🍽 What We Ordered: • 🐷 Traditional Fried Pork with Bean Curd and Chinese Water Chestnuts – Crunchy and fragrant, a lovely texture contrast. • 🌸 Dongpo Pork with Osmanthus Flower – Tender and slow-cooked, with subtle floral notes. • 🥒 Spicy Cucumber – Light, refreshing, and the perfect starter. • 🐖 Braised Pork & Pork Trotter Combo Rice – Rich, comforting, and very hearty. • 🦐 Seafood Clay Pot Congee (with Prawn & Crab) – Piping hot and silky smooth, full of sea-fresh flavours. • 🍠 Sweetened Deep Fried Taro – Crispy outside, melt-in-the-mouth soft inside. Whether you're missing home, exploring Chaozhou cuisine for the first time, or just looking for a delicious, dog-friendly restaurant in London, One Rice is a place that welcomes you with open arms and a full belly! 💬 Let the food speak, and let it take you home. - Dog Friendly Peak District
The Four Legged Foodies take a peak and spend 48 hours in the Peak District Winnats Pass We love to go on trips and explore areas of the UK, especially places that have a good mixture of beautiful scenery, cosy hotels and lots of places to eat. The Peak District has all of these in abundance. Here's what we tried out on our recent visit. Rafters Riverside House We started off with stay at Rafters Riverside Hotel which is in a lovely village called Ashford in the Water near Bakewell. Rafters Riverside House We received a very warm welcome and waiting in the room was a basket of goodies for us and beds and bowls were also provided. The hotel overlooks the river Wye where we would normally like a paddle but with that current and our little legs, we'd have to be quackers!! So we just had fun watching the ducks instead. Rafters Riverside House The hotel was super cosy with a log fire in the lounge and a bar area as well as restaurant. We were not permitted in the restaurant but we had our own little area in the bar which suited us just fine. The restaurant at Rafters is well renowned in the area for the most excellent food and our humans made lots of yummy noises as they scoffed their through the tasting menu. Rafters Riverside House The next morning we returned to our special private dining area for breakfast. The humans had a 3 course brekkie (and they say we are greedy) and we got a special sausage from the chef. Perfect for a packed day of exploring. Winnats Pass Our first stop off was to the village of Castleton via Winnats Pass which is a simply stunning hill pass and limestone gorge cutting through the rocks. There are great walkies here but you need to be fit and steady on your feet and (as we are always telling the woman) wearing sensible shoes! nb The Speedwell Cavern is not dog friendly. David Mellor Design Museum Next stop was the David Mellor Design Museum in Hathersage. David Mellor is most famous for designing cutlery but on our visit, we also learnt that he designed the traffic light that has been in use in the UK since 1960 as well as bus shelters that we all use on our London commutes. Dogs are welcome everywhere in the centre and shop plus there is a great café called Riverside Kitchen which serves middle eastern dishes and delicious sweet treats. Can you believe the humans were hungry after that breakfast? The Bike & Boot A few minutes drive later, we arrived at our 2nd hotel and a firm favourite of ours since we stayed with them in Scarborough - The Bike & Boot . The Bike & Boot The Bike & Boo t has everything a dog could desire including our own giant bed (okay that might have been for small humans but we claimed it) treats galore and even some toys for us. The Bike & Boot Nowhere is off limits to pooches here, including the bar, restaurant, cinema room and lounge. There is even a dog wash and grooming area if you get filthy on your walkies. They do really good pizza too! Matlock, Derbyshire After a hearty breakfast, we took a look around Matlock which is really pretty and has lots of dog friendly cafes and pubs. Heights of Abraham The best way to see the scenery is from the cable car which runs from Matlock up to the Heights of Abraham . It takes about 15 minutes and trust us when we say it is much easier than walking. Once you get to the top, there are some spectacular photo opportunities as well as cafes, shops and other fun things to see and do. Pooches are welcome everywhere except in the caverns. Ladybower Reservoir Our final stop off was to see Ladybower reservoir which is absolutely stunning. The reservoir is only accessible at certain points so you have to drive around the perimeter until you find them but it's worth it. https://www.instagram.com/benny__beaglier/ Our walk took us to Dovestone Reservoir in greater Manchester. Part of the Peak District National Park. It's a place we've been to before and has so many different paths you can take. The one we took this time was a 4.3km loop that had us going up rocky terrain, past streams which were a big hit with the dogs who love water, long grassy areas the dogs could weave in and out of and muddy puddles which Benny tried his best to avoid! It was a beautiful walk with an abundance of stunning views the whole way round. It was also quite quiet on this particular Saturday morning. Kelly & Benny Useful info for the humans: The Peak District is a 3 to 4 hour drive from London Direct trains from St.Pa ncras to Sheffield will get you close but you will need a car to best explore the area There is a £25 per dog charge at Rafters Riverside Hotel Entry to the David Mellor Design Museum is FREE There is a £15 per dog charge at Bike & Boot - no charge for dog grooming facilities The cable car costs £25 per person You will need some good walking boots and waterproofs if you want to explore the Peaks! Visit https://www.peakdistrict.org for more useful info on the area.
- Dog Friendly Islington
Explore this North London district with your pooch. Islington in North London is a great area to explore with your pooch. You can take a stroll along the canal, hang out on the green or explore the many independent shops. And of course there are plenty of options for food and drink. @the4leggedfoodies If you like a local bakery, then you will love British Patagonia. Dogs are so welcome, they even get their own treats which are baked on the premises and the selection of sweet and savoury pastries for humans are off the chart good. Don't even get us started on the soft serve ice cream! British Patagonia 178 Upper St, London N1 1RG @marleymoo2000 The Pig and Butcher is an extremely dog friendly Gastropub in Islington, North London. It is a short walk away from the hustle and bustle so it feels a lot quieter and not as busy. It has an old farmhouse style interior which feels extremely homely. Read Marley's full review here The Pig and Butcher 80 Liverpool Rd, London N1 0QD @the4leggedfoodies Humble Grape is dog friendly wine bar and restaurant where you can get great food and dogs are very welcome. Read our full review of Humble Grape here. Humble Grape 11-13 Theberton St, London N1 0QY @the4leggedfoodies If a great pub is what you are looking for, then look no further than The Narrowboat. This Young's Pub is located right by the canal and offers treats for pooches plus some good old pub grub for humans. The Narrowboat 119 St Peter's St, London N1 8PZ Bewlie Hill is a small restaurant in Islington Square with salad bowls that really pack a punch. The restaurant is light and airy with a few tables outside and every bowl of food is full of flavour and colour. BewlieHill Unit G10, 116D Upper St, London N1 1QP @ the4leggedfoodies Meat Liquor is a super cool place tucked away behind Upper Street. Hot dogs and their famous burgers can be enjoyed on outdoor seating area or indoors where you'll find graffitied walls and plenty of photo ops. Meat Liquor 133b Upper St, London N1 1QP @the4leggedfoodies We are a family of ice cream lovers and you will find one of absolute favourites in Islington. Badiani is located in Camden Passage which is a really cute passage filled with independent shopping and places to eat. Keep an eye on their IG to see when they release dog ice creams. Badiani 14 Camden Passage, London N1 8ED @the4leggedfoodies Another of our firm favourites is Megan's and you will find them at Islington Square, where we will be holding a market on the 2nd Saturday of every month this Summer. Megan's are famously dog mad so pooches get lots of attention and treats. The food for humans never disappoints. Megan's 6 Esther Anne Pl, London N1 1WL @the4leggedfoodies Tofu Vegan is a must visit for all our vegan friends (and those that aren't). Their 3 locations serve up delicious Chinese food from a 100% plant-based menu. Now our human has never been a fan of tofu but this place changed her mind forever. (Don't worry if you're not a fan, there are many dishes without tofu). The NOT fish burger is a must try for everyone (even we couldn’t tell it wasn’t real fish) and the dim sum are little parcels of scrumptiousness. Tofu Vegan 105 Upper St, London N1 1QN @the4leggedfoodies Brother Marcus is a fabulous restaurant serving middle Eastern food all day. The food is so delicious, the humans are planning to keep visiting until they have tried everything on the menu. The staff love dogs so much, they brought me my own sausage!
