  • Luna Domes - Luxury Glamping

Baxter's Glamping Getaway at Luna Domes, Kent @baxter.beagle.2021 Baxter and I recently escaped the daily grind for a little glamping break at Luna Domes in Kent, and it turned out to be exactly what we both needed. @baxter.beagle.2021 We stayed in the Hever dome , tucked away on the grounds of Hoath House , and it was everything I had hoped for and more. There was a log burner that kept us warm during the cooler evenings and a huge, inviting bed that was incredibly comfortable. @baxter.beagle.2021 Since dogs aren’t allowed on it, Baxter was perfectly happy settling into his own comfy bed nearby. Large windows filled the space with natural light and views of the peaceful surroundings. Outside, a terrace with lounge chairs and a BBQ made it easy to relax and enjoy the fresh air. There was no TV, no endless to-do list, and no early alarms — just a simple rhythm of walk, snack, nap, repeat. @baxter.beagle.2021 One of the loveliest surprises was a doggy goodie box from Doghouse Woofs waiting for us when we arrived. Inside were chicken and duck treats, a tennis ball, a chicken dinner sample that instantly caught Baxter’s attention, and even poo bags to make my life easier. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. @baxter.beagle.2021 We spent the rest of the week enjoying a slower pace, breathing in the fresh air and calm surroundings, and taking time to simply enjoy each other’s company. It was just me and Baxter, soaking up the peaceful moments and enjoying the simple pleasure of being away together. It left us both feeling rested, recharged, and already thinking about the next time we can return. Luna Domes Hoath House, Chiddingstone Hoath, Kent, TN8 7DB https://www.lunadomes.com/ Need to know: Each dome sleeps 4 people, with a second bed on the mezzanine above the main bed. The domes are fully self-catered. Inside, there is a small fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine and 4 sets of cutlery, crockery and glassware. Outside, there is a gas BBQ with unlimited gas usage and a full set of utensils. Sharp knives are not included for safety reasons.  The domes have a log burner as their main heat source, and you are provided with a large supply of of eco-friendly sawdust logs. There is also an electric heater underneath the bed, as well as plenty of blankets and hot water bottles to keep you cosy. There is space for 1 car to park in front of each dome, and a large overflow parking area for additional cars. The closest train stations are: Cowden - 1.6 miles, 4 minute drive or 30 minute walk. Hever - 2.3 miles,  7minute drive or 45 minute walk. Knole , Scotney , Chartwell and Hever domes are dog friendly, with up to 2 dogs maximum per dome. There is an additional charge of £25 per dog. • Emmetts Garden

Dog Friendly National Trust Garden in Kent @baxter.beagle.2021 Baxter and I spent a beautiful day exploring Emmetts Garden, one of the National Trust properties in Kent. The gardens were full of colour and scent, and it was the perfect place for a relaxed wander together. @baxter.beagle.2021 We started with a walk through the rock and rose gardens before stumbling upon the tulip meadow, which was absolutely stunning. Bright flowers stretched out across the hillside and made the perfect backdrop for some lovely photos. Baxter was more focused on sniffing the flower beds than posing, but I still managed to catch a few sweet moments. @baxter.beagle.2021 From there, we followed the woodland trail, which felt calm and peaceful beneath the trees. The bluebell patch was especially beautiful and gave us a chance to pause and soak it all in. Dogs need to stay on lead throughout the main garden area, but there is a wonderful option for dogs who enjoy a bit more freedom. If you follow the Ram Pump walk and go through the gate, you will find a lovely stretch of woodland where dogs are allowed off lead. Baxter had a good run, explored every corner, and made the most of the space. It was a great balance between formal gardens and open woodland. @baxter.beagle.2021 After our walk, we headed to the Old Stables tearoom. They stock a fantastic selection of treats from Sir Woofchesters, and I treated Baxter to the Sunday Roast treat pot as a little reward for being such a good boy. He also got to try a doggy ice cream from Jude’s, which disappeared in about ten seconds. It is safe to say he enjoyed every bite. @baxter.beagle.2021 Emmetts Garden is a wonderful place to visit with your dog. With beautiful scenery, peaceful paths, and a mix of on lead and off lead areas, it is ideal for a relaxed day out. The tearoom is a lovely way to finish your visit, and the dog friendly options make it extra special for pups. If you are looking for a dog friendly day out in Kent, this is one we would happily return to. • Goodwoof 2025

A spectacular day out for dogs and humans https://www.instagram.com/custard_and_cream_the_golden/ Goodwoof , where do I start? What a day! We woke up to glorious weather so headed out early to make the most of it. When we arrived, the parking was well signposted and marshalled which made it a breeze and the same for collecting our tickets from the main gates. We were then met with friendly smiles from the welcoming gate staff, checked through and continued to walk through the estate to the event ( approx 20 minutes) There is also a bark and ride bus service available. https://www.instagram.com/custard_and_cream_the_golden/ First stop the Jelly Cat dog hotel where we checked in and became the proud new owners of two limited edition golden pups and had some great photo opportunities. We excitedly proceeded on to visit the Wild at heart foundation stand, which was the chosen charity partner for this year and listened to the stories of how Nikki and her team work tirelessly to improve the well being of vulnerable free-roaming and abandoned dogs to ensure they receive the help and care they deserve. https://www.instagram.com/custard_and_cream_the_golden/ On her stand she had an incredible artist Sophie Stock who was sketching Goodwoof dogs for the day so we just had to get involved and think you will agree that her portrait of Custard is just amazing. https://www.instagram.com/custard_and_cream_the_golden/ After a quick walk through the Petplan snuffle garden and a spin on the prize wheel we decided to take a walk through the shady woodland area and discover the crystal healer where we were given some beautiful calming crystals.  They also had a pet medium and a dog tarot card reader. https://www.instagram.com/custard_and_cream_the_golden/ The zen den was our next stop presented by Kong where you are given a Kong to fill with a variety of foods from the tables to enjoy in the area with soft cushions and relaxing areas provided . What a treat. Through to the literary corner next to listen to the wonderful Hugh Bonneville and his chats about Paddington and Downton abbey - he really was a delight. https://www.instagram.com/custard_and_cream_the_golden/ We couldn't resist visiting the tattoo parlour to get our temporary tattoo souvenir to enjoy for days to come. After lunch we watched some dogs having a groom at the grooming parlour and listened to some music by the Goodwood symphony orchestra then had a look at the Barkitecture area. For the final part of our day we decided to visit and admire the sheepdog trials and browse the Goodwoof games and lastly dip Custard's paws into fidos lido to cool off after his exciting day. There is so much to see and do at Goodwoof we hope you enjoyed reading about our time spent there. https://www.instagram.com/custard_and_cream_the_golden/ Here's a quick round up of what we noticed around the event that made a day out with our dog so easy and fun.  ⭐️ large bowls of water available throughout the areas and lots of water filling stations. ⭐️plenty of bins available ⭐️ excellent toilet facilities ⭐️a wide variety of food and drink vendors ⭐️a suitable amount of shopping ⭐️lots of shady spots and undercover areas ⭐️off lead area ⭐️always a friendly event team member on hand to help Thank you so much Goodwoof for a wonderful day, we will definitely see you next year for more fun . https://www.instagram.com/custard_and_cream_the_golden/ GOODWOOF GOODWOOF2025 GOODWOOF2026 DOG EVENTS DOG FESTIVALS

  • Riding House Cafe

A super dog friendly cafe in Bloomsbury We recently visited the dog friendly shopping area of The Brunswick Centre and were delighted to discover a great place to dine with your dog . Riding House Bloomsbury is a fantastic place for refreshments during your shopping trip. The large space is a cross between a New York loft apartment and botanical garden house, with huge windows letting in natural light. They also have a large covered area outside on the Brunswick Centre concourse. You can read more about the centre here. I was made to feel very welcome with treats on offer the moment I arrived and a fresh bowl of water delivered to the table for me. The menu is quite large and varied and they also have a monthly set meu with 3 courses for £28. The human devoured a plate of pasta accompanied by a delicious mocktail. • Pawfest 2025

A Pawsome Day at Pawfest!   Baxter and I had a great time at Pawfest, held at the beautiful Betteshanger Park in Kent.   We started the day with a visit to Dogiko, where Baxter was offered a wellness puppuccino. It was a lovely little treat, with some of their digestion supplements added in. Baxter absolutely loved it!   Next, we joined the woodland walk, where Baxter had the chance to explore peaceful forest trails and meet some new Beagle friends. Seeing him happily trotting alongside others, sniffing around, and enjoying the natural surroundings was such a joy.   After the walk, we made our way to the experience zone. Baxter impressed me by navigating Temptation Alley with such focus, he ignored the tempting toys and treats and came straight to me! Then, during the scentwork, he quickly found the hidden rabbit ear, showing off his love for using his nose.   Feeling a little peckish, I treated myself to a cookie and Baxter to a pupcake from The Acre Kitchen. The cookie was soft and delicious, and Baxter’s pupcake looked almost too cute to eat – but he didn’t hesitate! We both really enjoyed our treats.   We made sure to visit the wellness zone, where we took part in a canine massage workshop hosted by the Canine Rehab Co. I learned a few different massage techniques and must have been doing it right, as Baxter visibly relaxed! Then, we tried dog yoga, hosted by Chloe. Baxter kept close while I practiced my stretches and enjoyed some time on the mat with me.   Pawfest really lived up to its promise. It was a day filled with sniffing, exploring, learning, chilling, and most importantly bonding with your dog. We left feeling happy, refreshed, and grateful for the chance to share such a special day together

  • Wendover Woods

Walkies in the Chilterns with Baxter https://www.instagram.com/baxter.beagle.2021/ A Tail-Wagging Adventure at Wendover Woods ! Baxter and I (along with a few of his best pals) had a great time exploring Wendover Woods and taking part in their Forest Walkies trail featuring Wallace & Gromit. https://www.instagram.com/baxter.beagle.2021/ We headed straight to the Information Centre when we arrived and picked up our adorable Forest Walkies activity tote bags, which included matching bandanas for the dogs! Once everyone was kitted out and looking extra stylish, I quickly downloaded the OS Maps app to help us navigate the trail. It made it super easy to find all the activity panels hidden along the route.  https://www.instagram.com/baxter.beagle.2021/ We made our way through the woods, ticking off all the activities and playing little games along the way. https://www.instagram.com/baxter.beagle.2021/ There were plenty of great spots for photo opportunities — and let’s be honest, when the dogs are looking that adorable, you have  to snap a few (or a hundred) photos! https://www.instagram.com/baxter.beagle.2021/ Once we completed the trail, we all headed over to the Wendover Woods Café for some well-deserved refreshments. We had coffee and a bacon bap for the humans, tasty treats for the pups, and lots of happy faces all round. It was the perfect day filled with wagging tails, happy pups, and so many fun moments. A couple of helpful notes: Dogs are allowed off lead, but they must be kept close and in sight at all times. We didn’t spot any poo bins on the trail itself, but there are some by the Café and Information Centre, so plan accordingly! The park areas surround a Victorian house built in 1847. https://www.instagram.com/benny__beaglier/ The Hall is no longer open to the public but is used as offices. • Gooey Manchester

Dog friendly bakery and cafe in Manchester @rambo_french_bulldog Located in The Northern Quarter in Manchester  Gooey is a must visit and you don't just need to take my word for it, you can also take Lizzo's and Jay Rayners! You will also find a queue of people outside waiting to try the delicious sandwiches, donuts, cookies and more. If you want to not wait then quieter times on a weekday won't require you to wait for long. @rambo_french_bulldog The food - Can I give it a 12/10? The Egg Sando is the BEST egg sandwich I have ever eaten and I think about it a lot, talk about it to people and, work out when I can go back for it again. Oh, and the hash browns - amazing! The sandwich would have been enough but I couldn't go another visit without trying them and they lived up to my expectations. @rambo_french_bulldog Of course we also have to talk about the cookies and donuts. I first discovered them when they were only being sold from a hatch in Ducie Street Warehouse. The chocolate filled donut is my go to (yes I 've had that many I have a go to now) I will also admit that when Rambo takes me there sometimes I don't fight him and use his as the reason to get the donut! @rambo_french_bulldog Puppuccinos and treats - available making Rambo very happy The staff - so friendly and welcoming to Rambo and now know him as we can't just walk past without Rambo trying to push in the queue. To summarise Gooey is a must if you live or a visiting Manchester with your dog.
